Joe Jonas Puts His Wedding Ring on Display in First Instagram Post Since Sophie Turner Divorce Lawyer News

Sophie Turner’s rep declined to comment on reports from People and TMZ that Joe Jonas has retained divorce lawyers. While the actress has been silent on social media since news broke, Jonas made his first Instagram post last night. He appears in a new photo with his wedding ring prominently on display. He was also seen wearing his wedding band on stage at the Jonas Brothers’ concert in Austin, Texas.

Jonas and Turner have both been photographed not wearing their wedding rings in sightings that preceded the news that Jonas has retained attorneys.

A source told Entertainment Tonight on September 3 that over the last few months, “Sophie and Joe have been spending more time apart recently. Joe has been busy on tour and spending a lot of time with his family.” Turner, meanwhile, has been filming the six-part ITVX series Joan in the U.K. since May. Sources told TMZ that Jonas and Turner have had “serious problems” for at least six months.

No reporting on Turner’s perspective has come out since the news broke.

In its own report, TMZ explained why Jonas has been taking his wedding ring on and off, and theorized about the ring sightings: “Some fans took that to mean everything’s A-OK—which we know it isn’t. Regardless of whether he rocks the ring or doesn’t, our sources are firm on this much: their marriage is circling the drain and on its way to family court in due time.”

Turner and Jonas first started dating in 2016 when Turner was just 20 years old. Jonas was 27 then. They got engaged a year later, then married in May 2019. They welcomed their first daughter in July 2020 and a second daughter in 2022.
