of
the
bit,
he
offered
to
jump
in
as
musical
guest,
but
when
his
wife
informed
him
that
there
was
already
a
musical
guest
(Kid
Cudi),
he
still
couldn’t
help
but
pull
out
his
guitar.
He
finally
joined
her
onstage
and
played
her
out
when
she
said
the
famous

SNL
host
line:
“We’ve
got
a
great
show
tonight!”

history.

California.
They
moved
back
to
England
when
Mumford
was

baby,
and
he
grew
up
in
Wimbledon
Chase,
a
London
suburb,

attended
King’s
College
School,

he
met
his
fellow
band
member,
Ben
Lovett.

parents

religious
leaders.

John

Eleanor
were
leaders
in

Vineyard
Churches
in
the
U.K.
and
Ireland

20
years.

an
influence

to
Mumford’s
grandparents.

father

when

Cambridge

band

on,

Mulligan

pen
pals
as
kids.

Mulligan

camp

were
pre-teens

pals
